Outlook, Level 1 & 2

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Understanding the technology in any office environment is an important skill that helps improve employee performance.  The goal of this training is to achieve long-term improvements in the way employees do their jobs.  By teaching participants how to work effectively in Microsoft Outlook and overcome common obstacles we can create a program that is sustainable long after the training is over.  This program is best suited for the companies that want to provide opportunities for  their staff to learn and grow with technology.

Outlook, Level 1

  • Adding Email Addresses

USING THE INBOX

  • Creating and Replying to Messages,
  • Forwarding Messages
  • Changing Options for Messages

WORKING WITH MESSAGES

  • Deleting Messages
  • Clean-up conversation feature
  • Saving Messages, Flagging Messages
  • Resending or Recalling a Message
  • Viewing or Saving Attached Files
  • Searching Tips using the Search Toolbar

WORKING WITH FOLDERS

  • Creating Folders for Organization
  • Deleting Unwanted Folders
  • Moving & Copying Messages between Folders

CALENDAR

  • Scheduling an Appointment
  • Using Your Task List
  • Scheduling a Meeting with Others
  • Scheduling a Recurring Appointment

Outcomes:  Participant will learn the basics of Outlook including how to work with their email and their schedule.

Instruction will be hands-on.

This level is meant for that person who is already using Outlook on a regular basis, but feeling like they are missing the efficiencies or short-cuts.

  • Creating Rules for Messages
  • Using Categories for Organization
  • Creating AutoText for your Messages
  • Customizing the Quick Steps
  • Setting up Retention Policies
